These village are listed in ALL VILLAGES on Cisarik.com website.  Andrasovce is now named Ondrasovce, but Sambron and Jakubany are the same today.

Hungarian Atlas, Village Finder & Gazzetteer shows Jakubany population around 2700 Rusyn.  Sambron around 1000 Rusyn.  Ondrasovce is very small - I think less than 100.

I was able to figure out how to get the censuses for my villages near Humenne.

However, I am unable to  find Jakubany and Sambron, (both near Stara Lubovna), and Andrasovce and  Chminianske Jakubany (both near Presov).

Any thoughts on why I can't find them?  Thanks.

The 1869 (Hungarian) census of several areas or what is now Slovakia are available on FamilySearch but they are not indexed so if you can find the location you need you will have to page through the entries. What is available

    • Available for the following counties: Abauj-Torna, Bars, Komárom, Nyitra, Szepes, Sáros, Zemplén and portions of Esztergom and Vas counties
    • Some villages may be missing
    • Available for the following cities (county name given in parenthesis): Győr (Győr), Hajduszoboszló (Hajdu), Nyiregyháza (Szabolcs), Szentes (Csongrád)

The 1930 Slovakian census is available online at https://www.slovakiana.sk/kulturne-objekty?categoryname=scitacie-harky (use Google for your browser and it will translate the webpage for you.) The entries are not indexed but you should be able to get to the geographical location then page through.

Is the 1940 census for present day Slovakia available for online search? Have any other Slovak censuses between 1869 and 1930 been made available online? Thanks.
